Énoncé

On considère nn moles de gaz parfait sur un chemin localement réversible ; δQ\delta Q désigne ici δQrev\delta Q_{\mathrm{rev}}. On rappelle les définitions :

  1. En utilisant le fait que UU ne dépend que de TT, montrer que ℓ=P\ell = P pour le gaz parfait. En différentiant PV=nRTPV=nRT à température constante, en déduire que h=−Vh=-V.
  2. Calculer α\alpha, β\beta et χT\chi_T pour le gaz parfait.
  3. Vérifier sur ces valeurs les relations générales ℓ=βTP\ell = \beta TP, h=−αVTh = -\alpha VT et PβχT=αP\beta\chi_T = \alpha.
  4. Démontrer la relation ℓ=h(∂P∂V)T\ell = h\left(\dfrac{\partial P}{\partial V}\right)_T et la vérifier pour le gaz parfait.
  5. Interpréter physiquement le signe de hh : que doit faire la pression d'un gaz parfait qui reçoit de la chaleur à température constante ?

Sur une isotherme du gaz parfait, dU=0\mathrm{d}U = 0, donc δQ=P dV\delta Q = P\,\mathrm{d}V ; par identification avec δQ=CV dT+ℓ dV=ℓ dV\delta Q = C_V\,\mathrm{d}T + \ell\,\mathrm{d}V = \ell\,\mathrm{d}V, on lit ℓ=P\ell = P. En différentiant PV=nRTPV=nRT à TT fixé, on trouve P dV=−V dPP\,\mathrm{d}V=-V\,\mathrm{d}P, donc δQ=−V dP=h dP\delta Q = -V\,\mathrm{d}P = h\,\mathrm{d}P, d'où h=−Vh = -V. Question 2. De V=nRT/PV = nRT/P : α=1V⋅nRP=1T\alpha = \dfrac{1}{V}\cdot\dfrac{nR}{P} = \dfrac{1}{T} et χT=−1V(−nRTP2)=1P\chi_T = -\dfrac{1}{V}\left(-\dfrac{nRT}{P^2}\right) = \dfrac{1}{P}. Question 5. δQ=h dP=−V dP\delta Q = h\,\mathrm{d}P = -V\,\mathrm{d}P : pour recevoir de la chaleur (δQ>0\delta Q > 0) à température constante, il faut dP<0\mathrm{d}P < 0. Rien d'étrange : à TT fixée, PVPV est constant, le gaz se dilate en absorbant la chaleur (δQ=P dV>0\delta Q = P\,\mathrm{d}V > 0) et sa pression chute d'autant.
